FAQ

  • Do you shoot film?

I always shoot at least some film on a wedding day. I shoot 35mm, 120 medium format, and sometimes 110 film.

  • Do you offer engagement sessions?

I love meeting my couples before the big day, so I offer a couple’s session as a part of all my packages. It’s a good way for us to get to know each other and get comfy with a camera between us. Take me on a date with you, on a walk with your dog, on a drive. Whatever we do, I will get beautiful photos of you on film enjoying each other’s company doing your everyday life.

  • I'm camera shy!

Most of my clients tell me this! I also feel awkward in front of a camera so I get it, and it makes me really good at helping make you feel comfortable and at ease on your wedding day. Your wedding day is not a photoshoot. It’s not about the photos - the photos are about the day.

  • How would you describe your approach?

I come to each wedding excited to meet people. I am casual and friendly, and tend to help people relax by making them laugh. I used to say I am like a fly-on-the-wall but its just not really true! You’ll know I’m there but you won’t necessarily realize I am taking photos. I am very hands off and I always tell my couples that I have no expectations of any kind of performance from them. All the planning you put in is meant to be enjoyed, not endlessly documented with curated moments.

  • What's your aesthetic style?

My work is documentary, artful, impressionistic, and classic. While I love a blurry impression of a couple walking towards their friends and family, I equally love a traditional family portrait where everyone is looking at the camera.

  • Do you charge travel fees?

I don’t charge travel fees for weddings within a couple hours of the San Francisco Bay Area and Central Coast of California.
